چکیده

First principles calculations are preformed to systematically investigate the elastic and thermodynamic properties of Re2N at high pressure and high temperature. The Re2N exhibits a clear elastic anisotropy and the elastic constants C11 and C33 vary rapidly in comparison with the variations in C12, C13 and C44 at high pressure. In addition, bulk modulus B, elastic modulus E, and shear modulus G as a function of crystal orientations for Re2N are also investigated for the first time. The tensile directional dependences of the elastic modulus obey the following trend: [0001] [12 11] [10 10] [10 11] E E E E > > > . The shear moduli of Re2N within the (0001) basal plane are the smallest and greatly reduce the resistance of against large shear deformations. Based on the quasi-harmonic Debye model, the dependences of Debye temperature, Grüneisen parameter, heat capacity and thermal expansion coefficient on the temperature and pressure are explored in the whole pressure range from 0 to 50 GPa and temperature range from 0 to 1600 K.

The Thermodynamic Properties of Polarized Metallic Nanowire in the Presence of Magnetic Field

In this article, the second quantization method has been used to investigate some thermodynamic properties of spin-polarized metallic nanowire in the presence of magnetic field at zero temperature. We have been observed that in different magnetic field, the equilibrium energy of system increases as the density increases. The spin-polarization parameter corresponding to the equilibrium state of ...

HIGH TEMPERATURE ELASTIC PROPERTIES OF REFRACTORY MATERIALS

Abstract: A pulse-echo technique, based on ultrasonic "long-bar" mode (LBM) velocity measurements, working up to 1700°C is described. Magnetostrictive transducers and ultrasonic lines used in a 40-85 kHz frequency range are detailed. The conditions of choice of fundamental parameters (frequency, line geometry, sample size) are discussed in relation with the nature and the microstructure of ...

Volumetric properties of high temperature, high pressure supercritical fluids from improved van der Waals equation of state

In the present work, a modified equation of state has been presented for the calculation of volumetric properties of supercritical fluids. The equation of state is van der Waals basis with temperature and density-dependent parameters. This equation of state has been applied for predicting the volumetric properties of fluids. The densities of fluids were calculated from the new equation of state...
